Frequently Asked Questions
How do individual orders work?
Each fall, we harvest thousands of Noble Fir for our wholesale clients. For individual orders, we pull from our inventory of already-baled, freshly cut Noble Fir and quickly prepare them for shipment with UPS. A tracking number will be emailed to you once your tree has been shipped. We package trees within 1-3 days and UPS Ground shipments deliver within 1-5 business days on average.
To ensure timely shipments, we limit how many orders we accept each day. If the tree you are interested in says “Out of Stock” please check back the following day or send us a message!
How are individual trees packaged and shipped?
Individual trees are pre-baled in netting. We match your tree with an appropriately sized shipping box to ensure it ships undamaged. Orders are shipped via UPS Ground.
What comes with an individual tree purchase?
Each tree comes with care instructions to ensure it looks great until Christmas. Optional tree stands, saws, and recycle bags are available add-ons. They will be packed and shipped in the same box as your tree.
What is the return/cancellation policy?
While we do not accept returns, we guarantee that your tree will arrive safely. Please contact us if your tree arrives damaged and we will make it right! Cancellations are accepted if your order has not already shipped.
How do wholesale orders work?
For wholesale orders, please submit a form on our contact page or email/call from the contact information at the bottom of this page. Our wholesale clientele extends beyond the United States, so international orders are available. We fulfill most wholesale orders in November/December, but international clients can still contact us throughout the year to fulfill orders for their holidays. We have multiple options for delivery including shipping and local pickup.
Wholesale orders include our entire catalog including Noble Fir, Douglas Fir, Frasier Fir, Nordmann Fir, Grand Fir, and our very own Burton Blue Noble Fir.
How to take care of the tree?
STEPS:
1.) Remove Tree from Box. (Even if you are not putting it up right away. The tree can remain in the twine.) It’s also recommended to cut the box starting from the corner in a straight line. This is more efficient than pulling the tree out of the box.
2.) If you are not putting your tree in the stand within 24 hours, please store your tree somewhere that the temperature is below 55 degrees F. (If you live in a cold climate, leaving it outside works great. Other suggestions are a garage or AC basement. Easier to store and put up when the tree is still in the twine.) Keep out of sun!
3.) Fresh Cut. Prior to putting the tree in water: please cut ½ inch or more from the trunk of the tree within 2 hours of putting the tree in water.(If trees are not cut prior to placing in water, the trunk forms a seal from the sap, they might not drink enough water, and dry out faster. Although all of our trees are freshly cut prior to shipment, this step is very important. For Christmas Trees to stay fresh and drink plenty of water, they should be cut again prior to placing in water.)
4.) Maintain water in tree stand. (Do not let your stand run out of water or the tree will dry out. The first few days the tree drinks the most water.)
5.) Remove the netting and enjoy the sight of your beautiful Christmas Tree. It’s recommended to let the tree expand to its full width before decorating. Estimated time before decorating is 8-10 hours.
What safety tips should I be aware of?
1.) Before you decorate your tree, check all electric lights and connections.
2.) Do not overload circuits.
3.) Turn off all decorations before you leave home or retire for the night.
4.) Miniature lights reduces the drying effect on the tree.
What’s so special about Mossyrock?
Mossyrock is the perfect location for weather, rainfall, moderate temperature, 1000′ elevation, and latitude (center of natural environment). It is perhaps better than Oregon, because there is more rain, less drought in the summer months, a more moderate temperature, and it is farther north.
In addition, the trees are dormant when cut. This results in fresher, more vivid coloring, superb keepability and quality.
And then there is the beauty of the location, and the fact that one can see Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens from the property, plus parts of Mayfield Lake. Accessible by highway to Spokane, Seattle, and Portland, Mossyrock is a rich jewel of a location in the Pacific Northwest.
What variety of Christmas trees do you offer?
For individual trees, we are only offering our Noble Fir this season. We have six varieties, including Burton Blue, a special tree that is grafted for exceptional color and overall quality. We continue to graft several thousand of these trees a year, giving us even more of the Burton Blue. Here is a list of the Christmas trees we offer:
Noble Fir
Douglas Fir
Grand Fir
Nordmann Fir
Fraser Fir
Burton Blue Noble Fir
If you spend extra time on the Burton Blue Noble Fir, do you charge more for these trees?
We always try to add a small percentage of Burton Blue Noble Fir in a regular order of Noble at no additional charge. If a customer wants only Burton Blue Noble, then there is a slight additional charge.
